Melina Bowser’s ever-growing music career began at age sixteen when she self-released her debut single “If I Could” in November of 2016. Even as a high school sophomore recording with borrowed equipment during study hall, Melina knew that this is what she was meant to do.

She continued to write and release music in the years that followed and won the 2019 Women Who Rock Rising Star Competition for female singer/songwriters at the end of her senior year. From recording sessions with Grammy-winning engineers, sit-down conversations with country music powerhouse Gabby Barrett, and opening for the iconic Shiela E., this award presented Melina with incredible opportunities and amplified her career as a musician and songwriter. Then and now, Melina Bowser works tirelessly to build her craft and continues to climb the ladder in the music world.

As an independent artist, Melina is constantly writing, recording, and releasing new music. She writes all of her music and lyrics and typically records with producer and collaborator David Schmiech. She has also worked with notable studios, such as The Vault Recording Studio, to record and master select tracks throughout her career.

Melina Bowser released her latest single titled “Her” on February 23rd, 2024. “Her” has received amazing reviews and was quickly deemed a favorite by long time fans and new listeners alike. Melina’s music seems to get better and better with each release. With more than 35 original songs available for streaming on all music platforms, Melina Bowser’s fans are spoiled by her expansive discography.

As Melina continues to develop her own signature sound, her music resonates with fans of more established artists that have inspired her songwriting and music career.
